The design for this woodcut was created using various photos: my grandfather's draft horses from the 40's, my husband's grandfather's hay cart and photos from around Quebec and Ontario. It is a part of a diptych created for InterconneXion steamroller printing project. This woodcut and it's partner "Down on the Farm" pays homage to farmers who have farmed for generations in Canada.
Tokuatsu is a warm toned paper. This woodcut print was hand printed with a baren. It is float mounted in a maple frame.
